BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Russian Interfax reported today that Kurdish president announced that new agreements were reached with Gasprom Neft, the fifth oil company in Russia.
No other details were given.
According to observers, these agreements will increase the Kurdish differences with Baghdad.
Gasprom Neft bought shares in two contracts in Kurdistan region last August, which incited Baghdad's anger.
On the other hand, the company has a contract with Iraqi central government in Badra, Wassit province.
Oil sources said that Kurdistan grants more lucrative conditions, including partnership in production, unlike the central government.
