Human Rights Ministry denies torturing Saudi prisoners
11/14/2012 7:11 PM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Human Rights Ministry denied today the news that Saudi prisoners in Iraq are being tortured.

In a statement by the ministry, as received by Aswat al-Iraq, the ministry denied the news reported by Al-Nahar daily on 18 October, 2012.

It also denied that the Saudi prisoners are given poison shots instead of executing them, describing this news as "baseless".

The ministries pointed out that only 10 Saudis are convicted to death; verdicts of two of them were abrogated.
