NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A policeman has been injured in an explosive charge blast under his car south of Mosul, a Ninewa Province’s security source said on Sunday.

“A policeman was injured early today (Sunday), when an explosive charge blew off under his car in Hammam al-Alil township, south of Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He said the policeman was on his leave and was not injured during carrying his duty, and he was driven to hospital for treatment.

Mosul, the center of Ninewa Province, is 405 km to the north of Baghdad.
