7 killed, 25 casualties in south Tikrit

SALAH AL-DIN / Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said today that 7 persons were killed and 25 wounded, mostly Iranian and Pakistani visitors to holy shrines south of Tikrit.
 
The source told Aswat al-Iraq that a car bomb was located on a corner near a restaurant on the main highway connecting Balad and Samarra cities, south of Tikrit.
 
The car bomb was targeting busses carrying Iranian and Pakistani visitors to the holy shrines.
 
The source added that the toll is expected to rise.
 
Salah al-din province witnesses occasional terrorist actions against the security forces and civilians alike.
