BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi government stressed today that the transportation of crude oil to Aqaba and Banyas aims at increasing oil production limits and their development.

The agreement between Jordan and Syria stipulated that the export capacity to Banyas port shall be 1.5 million b/d and to Aqaba with 1 million b/d.

The agreement shall be in force after one week after final notification through diplomatic channels.

It will last for 25 years, to be extended by mutual agreement for further notice.
