BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Ministry of Transport announced its attempt to start a second negotiation round with international flight insurance companies to delete Iraq from "war areas", pointing that the increase in air fares is due to the increasing charges of the insurance companies.
Undersecretary Binkin Rikani, in a press statement, said that the insurance companies are still imposing higher charges on airways working in Iraq under the pretext it is still a "war zone".
He added that the Iraqi air space did not record any security breach during the last years.
Iraqis complain from the increase in flight fare, in comparison with neighboring countries.
