4/14/2011 4:06 PM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 89 lawmakers of Dawlat al-Qanoon List withdrew from today's parliament session protesting the single vote on vices president, a member of the parliament from the list said on Thursday.

"Eighty-nine lawmakers from Dawlat al-Qanoon List left the session minutes after the start of the single vote on the vice president," Ibrahim al-Rakabi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

He did not give more details, noting that his bloc is holding an independent meeting now.
