5 Turkish soldiers killed near Iraqi borders
ARBIL/ Aswat al-Iraq: Anti-Turkish PKK party announced today that 5 Turkish soldiers were killed and wounding another one in armed clashes near Iraqi borders.
Kurdish Defence Forces, the armed wing of PKK, added, in a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, that the Turkish forces attacked PKK quarters in Rufia area.
The armed clashes between the two sides started in 1980s, when the PKK chose armed struggle to attain Kurdish goals to get an autonomous rule.
This conflict led to more than 40.000 killings between the two sides, as well as destroying hundreds of villages and immigration of thousands of families.
