Call to freeze MP's membership

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: National Alliance MP Ali al-Alaq called today to freeze the membership of Iraqiya bloc MP Ahmed al-Alwani for uttering "unsuitable words against them".

In a press conference held today in the Parliament, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, he added that Alwani described the National Alliance as "Iranian agents" during Anbar demonstrations.

The meeting of the parliamentary political blocs ended today with word clashes among the members of the National Alliance and Iraqiya bloc.

The blocs were supposed to discuss the political crisis resulting from arresting the bodyguards of Finance Minister Rafi' al-Issawi.
