WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: Wassit province announced here today that crude oil production in Ahdab oil field reached to 140.000 b/d.

 

 

The oil field has 170 wells, according to official statement here.

Sabeeh Lafta told Aswat al-Iraq that the oil field, 25 km west of Kut, that August Production reached to 120.000 b/d with the availability of 113 wells.

 

 

Ahdab oil field, discovered in 1979, has 225 million barrels in reserves.

 

 

Kut, center of the province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad.
