KARBALA / Aswat al-Iraq: Casualties from the car bomb explosion that ripped through Karbala earlier on Friday went up to 20, including two dead, an official source said.
"Casualties from the car bomb attack in al-Hindiya City, east of Karbala, rose to 20, including two dead and one wounded person in z critical condition," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
A security source had said earlier that a car crammed with explosives went off in central al-Hindiya City, injuring seven citizens.
Karbala lies 108 km southwest of Baghdad.
