KIRKUK/ Aswat al-Iraq: Eight spontaneous explosions hit different parts of on mid, south and west Kirkuk today, security sources said here.

 

The sources told Aswat al-Iraq that many casualties were reported as well as material losses.

 

The explosions were directed against police stations, worship sites, governmental and civil establishments, as reported by the sources.

 

The explosions were due to bombs and Katyousha rockets, with suspicions of using bombed cars.

 

No exact figure of the casualties was reported.

 

The explosions took place during the visit of the Vatican minister Father Leonardo who is delivering a message of peace to the city that is composed of different religious and national entities.

 

Kirkuk witnesses continued attacks that led to civilian and security casualties.
