12/29/2012 6:21 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Saudi daily al-Sharq al-Awsat expected that the demonstrations in Iraq will postpone the visit of a Saudi delegation this week to end Saudi death convicts in Iraq, and Iraqi convicts in Saudi Arabia.

The paper quoted well informed sources that Iraq named its delegation members, who are expected to visit Riyadh during ten days.

The Iraqi delegation comprises members from ministries of interior, justice, human rights and foreign affairs.

The figures of the convicts are expected to reach twenty persons on each side.

Six Saudis are facing death penalty in Iraq and seven waiting verdicts in the coming days that may reach to capital punishment for illegally crossing the borders.

A bilateral committee was formed to transfer some prisoners according to regional and bilateral agreements, or on reciprocal basis that may not contravene with Iraqi and Saudi laws.
