BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Parliament on Thursday agreed to purchase 350 armored vehicles for lawmakers, with a budget range of 50 to 60 billion dinars, a parliament source said.
"The parliament voted to buy 350 armored vehciles for the parliamentarians," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"MP Haiday al-Abadi, from the State of Law (Dawlat al-Qanoon) refused to vote, justifying that service projects are more important for citizens than buying armored vehicles," he added.
