ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Three soldiers were seriously wounded on Thursday in a bomb blast in central Falluja, a police source said.

 

"An improvised explosive device went off near al-Urdon bridge, central Falluja, targeting an army vehicle patrol, injuring a captain and two soldiers, who were carried to a nearby hospital for treatment," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

"Security forces prevented civilians from approaching the region," he added.

 

Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
