ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: One civilian was killed and another one was wounded in an armed attack on a police checkpoint in central Falluja, a police source said.
"An armed group attacked a police checkpoint in central Falluja, using light weapons, killing a civilian and injuring a policeman," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
"Security forces cordoned off the whole region and started to hunt down the attackers," he added.
Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.
