Two hundred arrested in Wasit province
WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq : Wassit police forces arrested 200 wanted, including those for terrorist actions, according to police commander.
General Hussein Abdul Hadi announced in a press conference, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, that the 200 were arrested during five days in police operations in different parts of the province.
Some of the arrested were wanted for terrorism and criminal charges, he added.
On the other hand a dump of ammunition was seized in Badra area, 90 km east of Kut city that dated to the previous regime era, which contained 60 ground mines and 25 mortar shells.
Kut, center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south of the capital, Baghdad.
