NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: A former military pilot was killed on Wednesday by gunmen in eastern Mosul, a security source said.

 

“Unknown gunmen killed Colonel Magdi Abdulmawjoud, a former pilot, while driving his car in al-Barid neighborhood, eastern Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

 

“The gunmen fled , while police started an investigation into the incident,” he added.

 

Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, is 405 km north of Baghdad.
