BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Speaker of theIraqi parliament, Osama al-Nujaifi, leaves Baghdad on Saturday for India in an officialvisit, a media source said.

"Al-Nujaifi received at his office inBaghdad on Saturday Indian ambassador to Iraq," said the statement receivedby Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"The two discussed ways of boosting bilateralrelations in various domains," it added.

"Al-Nujaifi expressed the development andprogress in India and its success to establish a multi-party democraticsystem."

He will leave for India leading aparliamentary delegation in a several-day official visit.
