Will confront Maliki if attacked Anbar demonstrators, Emir of Dilaim tribes
1/6/2013 3:47 PM

ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Emir of Dilaim tribes in Anbar Sheikh Ali Hatem al-Sulaiman stated that "all Anbar tribes will confront Premier Nouri al-Maliki and his army if attacked the demonstrators in Anbar and other Iraqi provinces", calling the army and police forces to protect the demonstrators.

Sheikh al-Sulaiman told Aswat al-Iraq that "we will not permit any governmental or political circle to attack the demonstrators".

"We call Maliki to immediately resign and apologize for his words against the demonstrators, as rotten bubbles".

Iraq is witnessing "one of the most dangerous crises" in its history after 2003, through massive protests that extended to Anbar, Salahal-Din, Ninewa, Kirkuk, Diala and Baghdad, as well as other areas in the country.

The protestors demanded the release of male and female prisoners and detainees and cancellation of terrorism and de-Baathification laws and to rectify the political process in the country.
