Government for "honest and transparent" elections, Premier Maliki

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki stressed today that the government is "trying hard to have honest and transparent elections all over Iraq, particularly in Kirkuk".
 
 
In a meeting with UN representative in Iraq Martin Kobler, UN delegation expressed support to all efforts to free Iraq from UN Security Council's Chapter VII.
 
 
Premier Maliki, in a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, discussed a number of topics related to UN mission in Iraq.
 
 
Iraq decided 20 April next a date for coming provincial elections.
 
 
Kirkuk did not have elections in 2009 due to the differences among its components.
