DUHUK / Aswat al-Iraq: The body of Kurdish singer Nazek Nairoubi, which committed suicide on Friday, was found in a river in northern Duhuk, a police source said.

"Policemen managed on Saturday to find the body of Kurdish singer Nazek Salim Nairoubi in al-Zab al-Kabier River in al-Emadiya district, northern Duhuk," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"The body was sent to the forensic medicine department," he added.

The Singer, born in 1987, was married three months ago and started its career in 2000.

Duhuk lies 460 km north of Baghdad.
