Cancer treatment hospital to be built in Karbala

KARBALA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Husseini Endowment announced today that a Spanish company started building the first hospital for cancer treatment, with a cost of 60 million dollars.

Head of Public Relation Jamaludin al-Shahristani told Aswat al-Iraq that "it is the biggest project in Iraq", pointing that it will be situated in Hur Area, 5 km west of the city.

He added that the hospital will have a research center and equipped with the most sophisticated equipment.

It is expected that the project will be finished in two years time.

Karbala, center of the province, lies 108 km south west of the capital, Baghdad.
