NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Gunmen on Sunday stormed a school and killed its principal in eastern Mosul, according to a security source.
“Unknown armed men stormed al-Massoudi school in al-Taameem neighborhood, eastern Mosul, where they shot and killed the Principal Zakariya Yehiya inside his office and fled to an unknown place,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“Security forces sealed off the area and opened a probe into the incident,” he noted.
Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, is 405 km north of Baghdad.
