VP al-Khuzai says Iraq seek to set up strategic relations with Egypt

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Vice President Khudier al-Khuzai discussed on Thursday with Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq Sherief Shahin ways of boosting bilateral relations and regional developments.
 
 
The vice president underlined Iraq's support to the democratic process in Egypt.
 
 
"The Iraqi government is keen to have strategic relations with Egypt, due to their pivotal role in the region," al-Khuzai said.
 
 
The Egyptian diplomat expressed his country's keenness to develop ties with Baghdad, noting that the two countries share positions regarding developments in the region.
