Iraq demands Saudi Arabia to appoint ambassador, Zebari

 BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Foreign minister Hoshiar Zebari disclosed that Baghdad called Saudi Arabia to appoint its ambassador.

 

In a press statement to Saudi Al-Watan daily, Zebari promised utmost protection to Saudi diplomatic mission.

 

Zebari expressed hopes to develop bilateral relations.

 

Saudi ambassador to Jordan holds the post of non-resident ambassador to Iraq.

 

Iraqi-Saudi relations did not reach the level of other Arab countries.

 

Saudi Arabia participated in the late Arab Summit held in Baghdad in March, 2012 on ambassadorial level.
