BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki stressed, on Army Day Anniversary, necessity to exclude it from political competitions.

During his attendance of the central ceremony on 93rd anniversary of forming the Iraqi army, Maliki stated that the armed forces should be far away from political competitions.

He added that the security forces should not be subject to political terrorism and the necessity to respect the dignity of the citizen".

Maliki pointed out that regional competition and polarization shed its shadows on Iraq, pointing that "if we do not reject foreign intervention, we will be dragged to worse situations".
