SALAHAL-DIN/ Aswat al-Iraq: Security sources said here today a gunman was killed and another wounded in clashes with SWAT forces north of Tikrit city.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the Iraqi forces raided a deserted house north of the city, where clashes took place.

Three gunmen fled the scene, as the source added.

Tikrit, center of the province, lies 175 km north of the capital, Baghdad.
