Sahwa leader killed southeastern Mosul

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Leader of Sahwa forces in al-Qayara and Makhmour regions was killed on Friday in southeastern Mosul, a police source said.
 
 
"Unknown gunmen opened fire using light weapons on Sheikh Mahmoud al-Sabaawi, leader of Sawha forces, near Makhmour district, southeastern Mosul, killing him on the spot," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
 
 
He gave no more details.
 
 
Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
