Nujaifi accused as part of political crisis, State of Law bloc
1/6/2013 1:53 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: State of Law Bloc boycotted today the parliamentary session, charging Speaker Usama Nujaifi as "part of the political crisis in the country".

MP Ali al-Shalah, in a press conference held today, attended by Aswat al-Iraq, stated that "the State of Law rejected attending the extraordinary session of the parliament, which, as we believe, a continuation of denominational attitude".

He added that Nujaifi is "still silent for the insult made by MP Ahmed al-Alwani against the Shiite sect, which represent 20 million Iraqi".

Shalah accused Nujaifi of supporting all accusations and insults made against the Shiite sect, as well as not having any stand against the speech of ex-regime vice president Izzat al-Douri, who threatened to explode the political process in Iraq, including killing politicians and military forces.
