BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Legislature from Iraq's National Alliance, Ahmed Habib, has said on Saturday that recent demonstrations if different parts of Iraq were launched in protest to the government's failure to present necessary services for citizens, expressing thought that they might be "politicized."

"Any citizen has the right to demonstrate, having felt lack of services by different government bodies," Habib told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, adding that "those demonstrations could be politicized by politicians, who failed to share in the government."

Habib described launching anti-government demonstrations in Iraq as "wrong policy," pointing out that "such policy had become clear for all Iraqis, because the Iraqi people are educated people, who have understood such trends."

"We are all demanded to find joint solutions for the problems of citizens, in which we participate in their solution, not to agitate one party against another," Habib said, expecting that "such thing would push the country into a closed circle, we are not in need of."

Noteoworthy is that a number of Iraqi provinces are witnessing demonstrations nowadays, demanding the local governments to prepare services and improve the government's rational card, restore electric power and put a limit for the rise of food prices.
