1/1/2013 6:53 PM

KIRKUK/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Turkmen Front stated that "Kirkuk is an Iraqi city", in reply to statements made by Premier Nouri al-Maliki charging them of supporting a Turkish official that it is a "Kurdistani city".

In a media statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, the front held a meeting on Monday during which it reviewed the latest developments on the Iraqi and Turkmen situations, as well as discussing the latest developments between Baghdad and the Kurdish region.

The front called Iraqi to resort to dialogue and joint understanding to solve all pending questions and avoiding war disasters.

It confirmed the "Iraqianism of Kirkuk with its specialization as Turkmen from historical and cultural identities, thus rejecting to join any region".
