Maliki denies Dabbagh informed him of Russian deal corruption
11/21/2012 6:29 PM

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki denied that Iraqi government spokesman Ali al-Dabbagh informed him of his suspicions regarding the Russian arms deal.

In his contacts with media journalists, he also denied that he entrusted Dabbagh with any mission on this subject.'

Dabbagh denied last week any connection with the Russian arms deal and its aftermath, but he added that he was the first to inform Premier Maliki on "suspicions" about the deal, and called the parliament and the government to form a fact-finding committee on this matter.
