10/31/2012 2:21 PM

DIWANIYA / Aswat al-Iraq: A total of 1.4 billion dinars have been allocated by the immigration ministry for displaced families in Diwaniya to improve their living conditions and economic levels, Diwaniya governor said on Wednesday.

“The immigration ministry has allocated the amount to improve the living condition of the displaced families in Diwaniya after 2006,” Salem Hussein Ulwan told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that a total of 350 families will benefit from the amount.

“The ministry will form committees, in cooperation with the Diwaniya authorities, to choose the projects presented by the displaced families,” he added.

“The amount will be used to finance small projects of families that get less than 100,000 dinars per month”.
