ARBIL/ Aswat al-Iraq: Kurdish region tourism department announced today that taxes were reduced on hotels and tourism companies.
In a statement on Kurdish official internet site, Aswat al-Iraq learnt that the decision was to encourage tourism sector in Kurdistan, as well as preparing an annual tax system to be imposed.
Millions of Arabs and foreigners enter the Kurdish region annually, particularly on holidays and summer time, due to its security and electricity stability, as well as touristic sights and places.
