BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Premier Nouri al-Maliki discussed, in telephone call, with the Russian president the regional situation, bilateral relations and means to develop them.
In a statement by Premiership office, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, President Vladimir Putin expressed the support of his country to Iraqi unity and stability.
The statement confirmed continued development of bilateral relations in all fields.
Premier Maliki visited Moscow last year where he signed in initials an arms deal, but it was postponed after disclosing corruption cases, that led to renew negotiations.
