ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Two policemen were seriously wounded in a bomb explosion in western Falluja, a police source said.

"A roadside bomb went off near al-Zawieya region, western Falluja, targeting a police vehicle patrol, wounding two policemen, who were carried to a nearby hospital for treatment," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"Security forces sealed off the whole region," he added.

Al-Zawieya is 9 km from Falluja, which lies 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which is 110 km west of Baghdad.
