WASSIT / Aswat al-Iraq: A wanted person was arrested at his home by an American unit in an operation that resulted in damaging nine civilian cars, one for a police general, security sources said here today. 

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that the operation was made west of Kut, without any further details. 

No mention was made if the operation was in cooperation with the Iraqi local forces or not. 

Kut, center of Wassit province, lies 180 km south east of the capital, Baghdad.
