NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq: Al-Qaeda official in Hamam al-Alil district, south of Mosul, was arrested for implementing terrorist operations, an army source said on Monday.
“Security forces arrested Abu Ayoub, the al-Qaeda official in Hamam al-Alil district, south of Mosul,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that the man is responsible for implementing several terrorist operations in the district which targeted security forces and citizens.
“The operation was carried out in light of intelligence information,” he added.
Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.
