BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon left for Amman following short visits to Baghdad and Kuwait.
Ki-moon discussed Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations and pending questions between the two sides.
He expressed satisfaction for the development of bilateral relations in the last few months.
Ki-moon urged Iraq to "finalize some obligations to end the sanctions imposed by the United Nations.
Jordan's Petra news agency stated that he will leave for Turkey after Amman, Anatolia news agency reported.
On the other hand, the Iraqi side called for UN assistance for getting appropriate share of water resources, as well as the future work of UNAMI in Iraq, the statement added.
Secretary General Moon held talks with President Jalal Talabani, Premier Nouri al-Maliki and Parliament Speaker Usama Nujaifi.
Topics related to Syrian crisis, needs of Syrian refugees in Iraq, Palestinian question, coming Iraqi elections and human rights protection were also tackled.
