BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: An Iraqi judge has been abducted and five persons killed, four others injured in three attacks in Baghdad on Saturday, a Baghdad security source said.
“A group of armed men have blown up the house of north Baghdad’s Kadhimiya district’s Judge, Tu’ma Jabbar, killed his guard, broke through his house in northwest Baghdad’s Taji district, blew it up, wounding his wife and daughter, whilst his fate is unknown,” the security source said.
The security source told Aswat al-Iraq he believed that the attackers have abducted the judge, but failed to give further details.
The same source said that an employee in the Ministry of Industry & Minerals has been killed, together with his daughter, by a group of unknown gunmen, who broke into his house in Qadiriya village north of Baghdad’s Taji district.
He said that the village’s inhabitants had clashed with the attackers after they got out of the house, wounding 2 of the villagers and killing one of the armed men, whilst the other attackers escaped to an unknown destination.
The security source, meanwhile said that another unknown armed group had killed a police officer, when he passed by his car, together with his wife and children close to central Baghdad’s al-Rube’i district on Friday night, wounding his wife and children and escaping to an unknown destination.
