12/29/2012 9:03 PM

NINEWA/ Aswat al-Iraq: Tens of Mosul people continued their second-day sit-in in response to the call of religious clergymen, while the province authorities provided them a place for their gathering.

Ninewa Governor Atheel Nujaifi told Aswat al-Iraq that the province coordinated with the security authorities to protect the protestors.

The increasing numbers of protestors demanded releasing the "innocent" prisoners and detainees, abrogating Article 4 connected with terrorism charges, the disappearance of army and federal police forces from the cities.

The demonstrators stated that their sit-in will continue till their demands are met.
