BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Parliament has held its session on Saturday, under the chairmanship of its Speaker,Usama al-Nujeify, and in the absence of Parliament Members from al-Iraqiya Bloc, led by former Prime Minister, Iyad Allawi, a Parliament media source reported.
"The Iraqi Parliament's session was held this afternoon, under the chairmanship of its Speaker, Usama al-Njueifi, after the completion of its legal attendance, with the presence of the Chairman of the National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary and the Alliance's Member, Ahmed al-Chalaby.
Legislatures from al-Iraqiya did not attend the session, and instead gathered in the Parliament's rest hall, following to their Bloc's decision to suspend attendance of the sessions," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
