BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: The National Alliance and the Kurdish Bloc confirmed necessity to respect expression freedom and demonstration rights, calling to preserve the present political process according to democratic mechanisms and legitimate constitutional demands.
In a meeting between head of the National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaffari and the Kurdish Alliance, Change Movement, Islamic Group and the Islamic Federation delegation.
In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, the meeting "evaluated the present political conditions, with special stress to preserve the political process according to democracy and constitution".
Both sides confirmed unifying ranks, guaranteeing freedom of expression and the right to demonstrate, according to the Iraqi constitution, away from denominational trends.
Iraq is witnessing "one of the most dangerous crises" in its history after 2003, through massive protests that extended to Anbar, Salahal-Din, Ninewa, Kirkuk, Diala and Baghdad, as well as other areas in the country.
The protestors demanded the release of male and female prisoners and detainees and cancellation of terrorism and de-Baathification laws and to rectify the political process in the country.
