BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraq's Foreign Minister Hoshiar Zebari today arrived in the Gaza Strip heading an Arab delegation consisting of of 9 Arab foreign ministers, according to the semi-official Iraqiya TV.

 

 

The Arab foreign ministers decided, in their extraordinary meeting at the Arab League in Cairo, to form an Arab delegation representing Arab foreign ministers.

 

 

The delegation, along with Arab League Secretary General, expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people who have been subject to Israeli fire for the last five days.

 

 

Israel's attacks have resulted in tens of killings and hundreds of casualties, in addition to the destruction of Gaza infrastructure.

 

 

Iraq has sat as chair of the Arab Summit since March 2012.
