Sticky bomb kills police officer south of Kirkuk

KIRKUK / Aswat al-Iraq: A police officer was killed on Thursday morning by a sticky bomb explosion in south of Kirkuk, according to a security source.
“A bomb, stuck to a civilian vehicle belongs to Captain Mathhar Hussein Karim, from Hamourabi police force in Touz district, went off in al-Askari neighborhood, central Touz, killing him and damaging the car,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.
“The corpse was sent to the Touz hospital before sending it to the morgue in Azadi hospital in Kirku,” he added.
Kirkuk is 280 km northeast of Baghdad.
