Call to protect demonstrators, no denominational slogans, Iraqi Parliament
1/6/2013 8:56 PM

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Parliament recommended guaranteeing the protection of the demonstrators, non-denominational slogans and the peacefulness of the protests.

Today's consultative session was attended by 161 MPs, where the current political crisis was discussed along the protests witnessed in Anbar, Ninewa and Salahal-Din provinces.

Some speakers pointed out that the demonstrations were reactions of "real and continued crises" that exposed "the injustice" practiced due to wrong policies.

Others called to positively respond to the demands of the demonstrators and "rectifying constitutional wrongs and mal-treatment of the armed forces".
