BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: A traffic cop was assassinated today in southwest Baghdad, police sources reported.

 

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that unknown gunmen fired with guns equipped with silencers at a first lieutenant in the traffic police, instantantly killing him.

 

The area was closed and an immediate investigation was launched, but other details were given.
