Over 50 dead from yesterday's Basra blast

BASRA / Aswat al-Iraq: The toll from yesterday's blast in Basra has reached 50 dead more than 50 wounded, according to security sources.
 
The three explosions were committed by three motorcycle-carriages with short periods of time between them.
 
The carriages were placed in a systematic way long the market, despite the area being under heavy police surveillance.
 
The explosions led to the deaths of three high ranking officers, two from the army and one from the police force.
 
It is expected that the figures may rise as a result of those who remain gravely injured.
