Iraqiya bloc MP assassinated by suicidal explosion

ANBAR/ Aswat al-Iraq: Police sources said here today that Iraqiya bloc MP was assassinated by suicidal explosion when trying to enter the sit-in site in Fallujah.

The source told Aswat al-Iraq that a suicidal bomber with an explosive belt committed the crime against MP Ifan Saadoun al-Ifan, who joined Iraqiya bloc in the last elections.

The explosion led to a number of casualties, which are not determined yet.

Since 22 December 2012, Anbar province witnessed massive demonstrations and sit-in, in addition to Ninewa, Salahal-Din, Diala, Kirkuk and Baghdad demanding the release of innocent detainees and prisoners, while others called for toppling Maliki's government.

Ramadi, center of the province, lies 110 km west of the capital, Baghdad.
